Denmark Street has always been the music hub of London. Musicians, publicists, songwriters, agents, and producers have always been seen around Regent Sounds where a majority of music was cut, recorded, and produced. In the mid 1960’s, Regent Sounds was bought by James Baring. The Rolling Stones recorded at Regent Sounds and following their success, many new bands were trying to record at Regent Sounds. Bill Farley and Howard Yentiso were two prominent engineers that gathered their renown at Regent Sounds and assisted in the establishment of the unique music attributed to the studio. In 1968, Baring sold Regent Sounds to Eddie Kassner. Kassner recorded many bands such as the Kinks and the Equals. Regent Sounds recorded albums and demos of some of the worlds most famous musicians, such as The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Kinks, Elton John, David Bowie, The Bee Gees, Black Sabbath, The Eagles, and many more.
